The International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM) is a globally recognized mathematics competition for students in Grades 1 to 12. It tests conceptual understanding, applied problem-solving, and reasoning abilities, aligned with CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, and various State Board curriculum.

Students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 in CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, and State Board-affiliated schools in India or abroad can participate in Level 1 of the IOM. 

The IOM is an objective-type exam featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with no negative marking. It includes three key sections: 

  • Mathematics 
  • Reasoning and Aptitude 
  • Scholar’s Zone 
    Exam duration: 
  • Grades 1–5: 40 minutes 
  • Grades 6–12: 50 minutes 

The IOM syllabus is based on the academic curriculum of CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, and State Boards. It emphasizes applied mathematics, helping students develop real-world problem-solving skills. Detailed class-wise syllabi and chapter-wise marking schemes are provided.
